Several prominent Democrats have stepped across party lines to endorse Green-Independent Pat LaMarche for governor, among them a former Democratic candidate for governor. Christopher Miller, who received a quarter of the Democratic primary vote in June, has endorsed LaMarche, calling her simply the best candidate in the race today.

Current Democratic lawmaker Joanne Twomen, (D-Biddeford) has endorsed LaMarche, calling this a "critical election" and urging other Democrats, Republicans and Independents to vote for LaMarche.
Businessman and former Democratic candidate for statehouse, Bruce Avery from Standish, has endorsed LaMarche, saying, "Pat's Healthcare plan will save my business money, allowing me to expand and create jobs."
Erin Cianchette, from the respected political family, has also endorsed LaMarche, saying "Pat has a real plan to create jobs in Maine."

Jeff Toorish, a leading political consultant and former political journalist who is working on the LaMarche campaign said, "during my involvement in Maine politics for 30 years, I have never seen anything like this."
LaMarche says, "It is simply gratifying that our campaign has attracted the best and brightest from across the political spectrum — ¦and that will give you a very good idea of what my administration will look like."
