Thank you for supporting clean elections in our great state of Maine! Read the press release
Pat LaMarche believes the state of Maine belongs to the people of Maine:
"Maine's Clean Election laws are a beacon of hope for a nation that is sick and tired of corrupt politicians who spend more time raising money for their next election than in running the affairs of state."
"The revolving door of candidates who become lobbyists has made big special interests more important to some of our elected officials than the interests of the people and small businesses of Maine." Pat LaMarche |
"The revolving door of candidates who become lobbyists has made big special interests more important to some of our elected officials than the interests of the people and small businesses of Maine."
Pat is running as a clean candidate, which means that she supports public financing of elections and the end of big money controlling the electoral process. To succeed, she needed to gather 2,000 signatures from Mainers, and receive the financial endorsement of 2,500 of them.
Thanks to the support of thousands of voters across Maine, Pat reached this important milestone on April 14, 2006, earning the right to compete as a Clean Elections candidate. Thank you and congratulations!
