Certificate of Recognition from the Maine Army National Guard to Genny Judge (Pat's radio name, which she borrowed from her late mother, Jenny Judge):

It is with extreme gratitude that I recognize Genny Judge and the B98.5 radio station for their untiring efforts in making a difference to the communities of Central Maine. This past year you have spear headed the third annual "Happy Tanksgiving" food drive which has become the largest of its kind throughout the state of Maine. This year's total collection brought in more thn 60 tons of food and over twelve hundred dollars in cash donations that directly contributed to the happiness of thousands of families in need throughout the holidays. I also cannot go without thinking of the inspiring "Having fun on 201". This too was a display of love and dedication to the famnilies and listeners of your station. Genny set out on foot broadcasting as she walked along Route 201 in an effort to raise attention and monies to help young Tommy Pilsbury, a 12 year old boy that was so close to death, obtain a kidnet transplant. As she went out on this journey, she raised over eight thousand dollars from contributions of the listeners and had one of the listeners of the show actually come forward, was tested as a possible match for the kidney transplant, and donated his kidney. The works of Genny, Randy, Renee and the rest of B98.5 have been nothing short of miraculous. However things did not stop there for this adventure as she also drove on to organize a spaghetti dinner and auction. This event raised another fifty five hundred dollars to help cover the expenses of Tommy and the Donor Dude as they flew out to Minnesota to have the kidney transplant surgery completed. I am happy to say that both came throught the surgeries great. Genny Judge's actions reflect great credit upon herself, B98.5 radio station and the communities in which she serves.
