Alliance with a candidate's beliefs is how students select who they'll campaign for, said Chelsea Goulart, a student working on Green Independent Party candidate Pat LaMarche's campaign for governor.

"Dr. Melcher really stressed working for something you believe in," said Goulart, also from Cape Cod. "I didn't ever expect to find someone as liberal as I am in the world and then I found Pat. She's someone who I really believe in and who I think represents a really awesome opportunity for Maine."...
