Nancy, Hopefully in your next column you'll share some of the actual plans of the candidates rather than poke fun at them (though you did show your own bias). I'm happy to help. Pat LaMarche has already risen above the fray, staying out of the mudslinging and has already been talking about solutions for Maine. Real solutions that take care of Mainers by lowering taxes and providing everyone with healthcare (not just a few that Dirigo helps). She's already talked about building a dental, medical, and pharmacy school in Bangor (what a boost to Bangor it would be!) And if folks want to find out more of her plans, they can visit - www.pat2006.com.

I like reading Nancy's column and I agree with most of what she's written today, with one exception.

While most of the candidates for Governor have been goofing around all summer, either trying to get their name changed or leveling charges and counter charges at their opponents, one candidate has stuck to talking about the issues.

Pat LaMarche, the Green-Independent has laid out her plans to cut taxes; fix the healthcare disaster by creating a universal healthcare system in Maine; and create a medical school in Maine.

I am a lifelong Democrat, never voted for any candidate who was not a Democrat but this year I'm voting for LaMarche for Governor.
