LaMarche Continues Meeting Mainers Online
Portland, Maine — On Wednesday, October 18, 2006, Pat LaMarche continued her online outreach to her fellow Mainers with an early morning "Online Townhall" chat from 7:00 to 8:00 AM. Topics discussed included healthcare, clean elections, and education.
Aside from her busy schedule of offline events, Lamarche has met at least once per week with Mainers who are homebound or otherwise unable to come to in-person events. And on October 13th, she became the first Maine gubernatorial candidate in the 2006 campaign cycle to complete three one-hour online townhall chats in one day. Sitting in front of her keyboard from noon to 1:00PM, 4:00 to 5:00PM, and 9:30 to 10:30PM, Pat chatted with in-state Mainers and even one who is temporarily located in North Carolina.
Pat's final online townhall meeting will be held on Thursday evening, October 26 from 8:00 to 9:00PM.
Participants can use AOL, MSM, Yahoo or any other Instant Messaging (IM) handle.
Tell your friends and family to get online and be part of history with a candidate who welcomes every chance to hear from the public and answer their questions.
