First LaMarche Online Townhall on Tuesday at 7:00PM

Portland, Maine — Inundated by information requests about her recently released healthcare plan, gubernatorial candidate Pat LaMarche today announced a series of statewide Town Hall meetings — in cyberspace — as a way to meet the rising demand for information. The first Town Hall meeting will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, at 7 p.m. The schedule and chat sites are posted at www.pat2006.com.

"This makes it possible for a lot more people to participate in the democratic process. For example, stay-at-home Moms and some people with disabilities might find it a lot easier to log-on from home than to get out to a meeting," said LaMarche. "This is an effective way to meet the
statewide demand for information and to accommodate people from all corners of the state. People can communicate directly with me in real time and get their questions answered without driving long distances."
